Titano Futsal Cup, second legs of the Quarter-finals tomorrow

Final fixture of 2022 for the Titano Futsal Cup, which returns to the court tomorrow evening with the second legs of the Quarter-finals. For Folgore and Fiorentino, both dominant in the league, qualification is almost wrapped up thanks to their big first-leg wins, but the situation is very different in the other two ties. The most open and unpredictable clash is probably Juvenes-Dogana vs Virtus (Dogana, 20:15). Two weeks ago Claudio Zonzini’s side edged it 1-0 thanks to a goal from Simone Chezzi, but Luca Pollini’s Neroverdi only need one goal to throw everything back into the balance and potentially force extra time. It should be remembered that if the teams are level on goals scored over the two legs, the ties can go to extra time and, if needed, penalties. The most recent meeting between the two sides dates back to 8 November, when it was the Neroverdi who came out on top with a 3-0 win. The tie between Tre Fiori and Libertas (Fiorentino, 21:45) is not completely settled either. In the first leg Alex Bugli’s Gialloblu won 2-0 thanks to goals from Lorenzo Cecchini and Andrea Cappelli. Penserini’s team will need at least two goals to take the tie to extra time. The two sides also met just a few days ago in the league, a match that saw the Gialloblu run out emphatic 6-1 winners. As mentioned, it is a different story for Folgore and Fiorentino. In the league both teams know only victory (nine consecutive wins apiece) and in the cup they approach the second legs of the quarters with highly convincing scorelines in terms of progressing to the next round. Max Spada’s Giallorossoneri, holders of the trophy, recorded a resounding 6-0 win over Cailungo in the first leg, while Michelotti’s Rossoblu defeated Pennarossa 6-1. Looking at the bracket, in the top half the winner of Folgore-Cailungo (Dogana, 21:45) will face either Juvenes-Dogana or Virtus, while in the bottom half whoever advances between Pennarossa and Fiorentino (Fiorentino, 20:15) will meet the winner of Tre Fiori vs Libertas.   Here is the full programme for the Titano Futsal Cup Quarter-finals:
