Titano Futsal Cup: Fiorentino and Folgore meet in tomorrow’s final

  Everything is set for the first futsal title of the season in San Marino. Tomorrow – on the court of the Multieventi – the final chapter of the Titano Futsal Cup will take place, featuring yet another showdown between Fiorentino and Folgore. Fiorentino’s Rossoblu – the defending champions – will once again meet Falciano’s Giallorossoneri in a final, after last season’s league, cup and super cup deciders. It has been an intense season for both sides, as recounted by the two coaches, Matteo Michelotti and Claudio Zonzini, in the traditional pre-match press conference. “We’ve had another demanding year,” said Michelotti, coach of Fiorentino. “Unfortunately we’re missing a few players for this end to the season. But in finals anything can happen. The lads have trained well and are ready for this battle.” For Claudio Zonzini, Folgore’s coach, this will be his first Titano Futsal Cup final: “We also come into it with a few knocks, but that’s normal at this stage of the season. It will definitely be a real game. I expect my lads to be aggressive right from the start, just as we were in the Super Cup at the beginning of the year. On that occasion we lifted the trophy and it was a great feeling, but we want this title as well.” Captain of Folgore, Massimiliano Bernardi, is also looking for redemption after last year’s two finals lost precisely against Fiorentino. “We want to make up for those and we want the cup. We know Fiorentino well and we know what kind of team they are. It will also be great to play indoors at the Multieventi: last year the arena was packed and it was thrilling.” Meanwhile, Fiorentino captain Andrea Ceccoli is determined to confirm and defend the title: “It’s been two very intense years in which we’ve had very little rest. In matches like this you need to be good at keeping your concentration high. They are a well-equipped side; I don’t see a clear favourite.” The 2024 Titano Futsal Cup final between Fiorentino and Folgore will be played tomorrow evening – Thursday 9 May – at the Multieventi Sport Domus at 21:15, with live streaming on Titani.tv.
