Under-16 Development Tournament: Marlù alongside the San Marino National Team

The young Titane of the Under-16 National Team fully experienced the powerful emotions of their very first European adventure. And they did not do it alone. Marlù Gioielli stood alongside the first-ever women’s National Team of the Titano for the entire home Development Tournament, which kicked off on 16 April. It was a natural synergy between the company led by the Fabbri sisters and the FSGC, born from their shared aim of promoting and inspiring the dreams of young girls from San Marino as they play the most beautiful game in the world, wearing the most prestigious and romantic shirt of all: the one that represents their Country. The Development Tournament held last week made history for football in San Marino right from the first whistle of the opening match. It also delivered – speaking of powerful emotions – the first, thoroughly deserved victory, earned at the end of a match – the second one, against Estonia – in which Piva’s girls showed great commitment over the full 90 minutes and the ability to ride out difficult moments until the final celebrations, enhanced by a stand packed with young girls from the youth sector who, throughout the whole tournament, were warm, colourful and tireless. The UEFA event was also an opportunity to share, together with “travelling companions” from three different European countries (Georgia, Estonia and Luxembourg), the purest values of sport – and especially youth sport – in a spirit of total sharing and celebration that extended well beyond the boundaries of the pitch. On this point, a special mention goes to the mixed-team bowling evening – featuring all the players from all four National Teams involved – held two nights before the final matchday. The FSGC, the Under-16 National Team and all the fans in Acquaviva were truly swept up by the positive vibes that had long surrounded this event and which grew even stronger from 16 April onwards, peaking with every goal, save and particularly difficult defensive recovery. It was, in short, an intense week and Marlù accompanied and supported the young Titane throughout this entire experience, also becoming a messenger of friendship and hospitality in all those moments that were not strictly about what happened on the pitch. Marlù also presented special cadeaux to all four delegations involved in the tournament, a sign of their ongoing commitment to building bonds and sharing joy beyond the logic of results and competition – which in any case are never central in a tournament dedicated to the growth of young women determined to chase a dream. “Marlù is always happy to support valuable initiatives in the Republic. Once again, together with FSGC, we have chosen to support the young Titane of the Under-16 National Team, precisely to send out a strong message of continuity and to highlight one of the many forms in which female talent can be expressed, always without labels or gender distinctions, in line with Marlù’s philosophy, in a highly sporting and educational context,” said Marta Fabbri, Governance Manager at Marlù. “The Under-16 Development Tournament held from 15 to 21 April is a pure example of sharing, unity and participation among different countries under the banner of friendship and sport.”
