Under-18: winning debut at the "Roma Caput Mundi"

The San Marino Under-18 national team has kicked off its campaign at the international "Roma Caput Mundi" tournament in the best possible way. The young Biancazzurri, coached on the bench by Head Coach Alessandro Loris Bonesso, in fact defeated the Canadian youth side Prostars FC 3-1. The victory for the Titano bears the signatures of Federico Ciacci, Famiglietti – both on target in the first half – and Cervellini in the 87th minute. For the North Americans, Praticante scored the temporary 2-1. This is the first-ever win for a San Marino selection in all their participations in the Roman tournament, and it puts them top of Group B on their own. The match between CR Lazio and Wales ended on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time: Hogan had put the Welsh ahead, before Pasquire levelled three minutes from time. Under the tournament regulations, CR Lazio are therefore awarded two points in the table and Wales one. In Group A there were wins for English College FA and Italia LND: the British side beat Sutjeska Niksic in the second half thanks to Parson, Preece and Aldous, while the Azzurri came from behind after an early Greek opener by Soupiadis, overturning the deficit with a brace from Torri and a strike from Giachina. San Marino will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, kicking off at 14:30 in Colleferro (Bruno Di Giulio Stadium) against the Lazio regional representative side. The match will be broadcast live and free via streaming on My Soccer Player: to watch the game you need to register for free on the platform (click here) and select the tournament of interest.
