Under-21: Norway up next tomorrow to conclude the March double-header

After the Republic of Ireland, faced on Friday, the March mini-cycle will be completed tomorrow with the match against Norway, which is effectively the last long away trip of this two‑year cycle for the Under-21 national team, who from the day after tomorrow onwards will only have away fixtures in Italy. Matteo Cecchetti has called up twenty-one players, including two who were available yesterday to Roberto Cevoli for the senior national team’s friendly against Saint Kitts and Nevis: Pietro Amici and Nicko Sensoli. This morning the delegation arrived in Stavanger; then, at 17:00, the Official Training Session at the Viking Stadion, the almost 16,000-seater venue which tomorrow will provide the stage for the clash between the San Marino side and the Scandinavian team, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00. “It’s true that, unlike us, they did not play a European qualifier last week, but they did have a friendly against the Netherlands – the Head Coach pointed out – In any case, we must focus on managing our own energy levels. We are trying to help all the players recover as well as possible and we will have to understand who can give the most tomorrow from that point of view.
