Zoppis in Switzerland and Slovenia for Child Protection and UEFA GROW

A double commitment in the context of UEFA workshops for Andrea Zoppis, who represented the San Marino Football Federation in Slovenia and subsequently in Switzerland, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. The first workshop focused on the topical issue of Child Protection within the football system, providing an in-depth analysis of safeguarding practices to protect young people from all forms of abuse – whether physical, mental or even digital. All the Child Safeguarding Focal Points from the European football associations took part. The workshop held in Nyon, on the other hand, was a working group related to UEFA GROW: the aim was to examine all possible developments of the strategic plan adopted by the smaller European football associations, which share similar characteristics and challenges. The objective is to define a strategic plan covering the 2025–28 four-year cycle. In addition to representatives from UEFA GROW and various consultants who closely support the individual associations, officials from the football associations of Andorra, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Malta and San Marino were also present.
