The San Marino Football Federation also took part in the UEFA Annual Safety and Security Conference 2024, held in Lausanne on 11-12 September, with more than 500 representatives in attendance from European federations and clubs competing in this season’s UEFA club competitions.
The FSGC was represented by Supporters Liaison Officer Andrea Zoppis, by Melissa Nanni from the Competitions and Events Department, and by Captain of the San Marino Gendarmerie Gabriele Gatti, once again underlining the shared commitment with which the Football Federation and the San Marino law enforcement authorities work closely together to ensure the smooth running and organisation of all international matches played on Sammarinese soil.
The conference provided an opportunity to review and discuss the most recent cases of violence or attacks linked to football in Europe, actively addressing the issues of prevention and enhancing the sense of safety among supporters, who deserve to enjoy matches in complete security. San Marino thus confirmed its strong focus on these matters and was able to exchange views with colleagues from other continental organisations, with whom cooperation will be essential for upcoming international events.
