Arcangeli admitted to Executive “Football Management” programme organised by Bocconi and FIGC
Gionata Arcangeli, current head of the Women’s National Teams and the women’s youth sector of the FSGC, has been admitted to the renowned Executive “Football Management” programme, organised by the prestigious SDA Bocconi School of Management in collaboration with the Technical Department of the FIGC. Admission to this highly selective course is a recognition of Arcangeli’s professional calibre and expertise. This achievement highlights his merit and preparation in the field. Modern football increasingly demands managerial skills and strategic capabilities to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving landscape. The Executive “Football Management” programme is an advanced training course aimed at football executives, designed to provide sophisticated tools and knowledge for the management of sports organisations. Lasting a total of four months, the course will take place between Milan, at the SDA Bocconi headquarters, and Florence, at the Federal Technical Centre “L. Ridolfi”, from 17 March to 26 June 2025.
The training pathway will be structured into four modules, each addressing key topics for running a football club. The first module will focus on strategy and the football business. It will then move on to sustainability and finance, delving into the economic and financial dynamics that govern the world of football. The third module will concentrate on organisation and human capital, aspects that are increasingly central to the management of a sports club. Finally, the programme will conclude with a module dedicated to technology and innovation, which are crucial elements for the future of the game. The aim is to provide participants with comprehensive, up-to-date training that will enable them to develop a strategic outlook and management skills suited to the needs of a constantly evolving sector. In recent years, football has undergone profound changes, with growing attention to managerial, economic and technological aspects. Sports clubs are no longer entities concerned solely with on-pitch performance, but real businesses that must face market challenges, infrastructural investment and long-term growth strategies. The Executive “Football Management” programme by SDA Bocconi and FIGC meets these needs by training executives capable of successfully tackling the future of football. Arcangeli’s participation in this programme represents not only a personal opportunity, but also a major added value for the FSGC and for the entire San Marino football movement.
