Ascari, Cenci and Savoretti at the UEFA Referee Symposium in Bucharest

A delegation from San Marino was also present at the first UEFA Referee Symposium. Taking part in the event, held from 14 to 17 March in Bucharest (Romania), were UEFA Delegate Cristiano Ascari, A.S.A. referee Giacomo Cenci and the fitness coach of the San Marino refereeing department Simone Savoretti. Among the speakers were Roberto Rosetti – former international referee and now UEFA Chief Refereeing Officer – and Gianluca Rocchi (Head of Refereeing for Serie A and Serie B). Many topics were covered: from updates on refereeing techniques to physical and fitness preparation, as well as women referees, CORE for young match officials, and issues related to assessment criteria for referee observers.
