Barducci at the FIFA Women’s Football Regional Workshop in Zurich

On 3 and 4 September, Raffaele Barducci represented the San Marino Football Federation at the FIFA Women’s Football Regional Workshop in Zurich, held at the headquarters of world football’s governing body. The event was attended by all European member associations, under the UEFA umbrella. It was a two-day working session dedicated to addressing and exploring issues related to the development of women’s football within each individual association, as well as the support provided by FIFA in cooperation with the other continental confederations.

The agenda included strategic and planning topics such as access to development funding through FIFA Forward and the structure of the Women’s Department within FIFA itself. At national level, the development of key governance and leadership roles within each member association was a central theme, as was discussion of the new calendar for FIFA competitions and the scheduling of international windows. Over the two days, group work sessions were also organised which, among other subjects, focused on players’ health and performance.
