BKN301 Championship: Cosmos, Tre Fiori and Pennarossa maintain perfect records

In the Sunday fixtures completing the second matchday of the BKN301 Campionato Sammarinese, Cosmos, Tre Fiori and Pennarossa keep pace with La Fiorita and sit top of the table on six points. After their big win over Murata on the opening day, Cosmos also see off San Giovanni thanks to a superb performance from Matteo Prandelli. The yellow-green striker scores a hat-trick – the first goal a back-heel flick – all in the first half, delivering three precious points to Nicola Berardi’s side, who get off to a flying start in his new spell in the Serravalle club’s dugout. Also on maximum points are Tre Fiori, coached by Andy Selva, who come from behind to beat Virtus in a gripping contest right to the end. The Neroverdi of coach Luigi Bizzotto, who had beaten Domagnano a week earlier, break the deadlock in the first half through Benincasa (20') and go in at the break in front. After the restart Tre Fiori level on 53 minutes through Dolcini, then turn it around with Traini’s powerful header on 77 minutes. In the closing stages Alessandro Semprini – one of the standout performers – pulls off a brilliant save to deny Sabato from close range and preserve the win. After putting four past San Giovanni on the opening day, Pennarossa score another four in their victory over Murata. Yet the first 45 minutes belong to Roberto Sarti’s Bianconeri, who race into a two-goal lead first through Carlo Valentini (16') and then Raul Ura (27'). In the second half Mattia Stefanelli pulls one back on 58 minutes, and ten minutes later Zago levels the match. The comeback is completed on 73 minutes thanks to Ben Kacem’s goal (already on three goals in two games), while Stefanelli seals it on 81 minutes with his second of the afternoon. The next round is scheduled in less than a week (16-17-18 September), before the break for international fixtures.
