BKN301 Championship: triple tre for Juvenes-Dogana, Tre Fiori and Tre Penne

On the Feast of Saint Barbara it is Juvenes-Dogana, Tre Fiori and Tre Penne who light the fuse, seeing off Pennarossa, Fiorentino and San Giovanni respectively. A pleasing note for local fans: the goals that unlock today’s victories are all scored by Sammarinese players. The first in chronological order is by Ceccaroli, who puts Tre Penne ahead as early as the 11th minute, finishing a precise through ball from Dormi. The club from Città, despite Montanari being sent off before the interval, safely steers home a precious win thanks to Badalassi. The light-blue striker doubles the lead from the penalty spot on 56 minutes and dispels any late scare, rendering Corinti’s goal for 1-2 meaningless. Just five minutes after San Giovanni’s goal, in fact, Badalassi completes his brace, sealing Tre Penne’s seventh win in ten matches – the only unbeaten side in the league and now third in the table after overtaking Virtus and Cosmos. One point above them sit Tre Fiori, who claim the Castello di Fiorentino derby but have to work hard for all three points. It is Censoni who breaks the deadlock just a few minutes before half-time, but midway through the second half Fiorentino’s protests grow loud when Adolfo Hirsch’s potential equaliser is ruled out. Shortly afterwards Bernardi takes centre stage, first doubling the lead with an absolute stunner and then providing Rastelli with the assist for the final 3-0. All this within six minutes of his introduction. It is also a big step forward for Juvenes-Dogana, who move into the left-hand side of the table by sinking Pennarossa. The first half is balanced and lively, but the match swings Serravalle’s way early in the second period, when Stella’s goal and Berretti’s sending-off bring Amati’s side much closer to victory. In stoppage time Merli adds the gloss, moving on to seven league goals and joining the tournament’s leading scorers: Prandelli, Ben Kacem and Mema. In the first half there was the opener from Pasquinelli, a real guarantee at the moment, and Zago’s temporary equaliser in the first minute of added time. Pennarossa will rue Arrigoni’s free-kick against the crossbar and Ben Kacem’s disallowed goal for offside, both when the scoreline still read 1-0 to Juvenes-Dogana.
