Calcio Estate and draws together for the first time

Friday 19 July – in the press room of the San Marino Stadium – will see the staging of Calcio Estate 2024. As every year, the FSGC event returns to honour the players, coaches and officials in San Marino football who stood out in the 2023-24 season. This year – and for the first time – there will be a new feature: on the same evening, the 2024-25 Campionato Sammarinese BKN301 fixtures and the Coppa Titano BKN301 bracket will also be unveiled. A single event, therefore, that will close the book on the past season and effectively launch the next one. The evening will get under way at 19:00 with Calcio Estate 2024: twenty-one awards will be presented – one more than last year. The most coveted trophy is the "Crystal Ball", which will go to the best San Marino – or resident – footballer of last season. The "Koppe Trophy" will instead be awarded to the best "foreign" player (i.e. non-Sammarinese). Remaining in the football sphere, further awards will include the "Golden Bench" (best coach), the "Assist-man Trophy" (most assists across league and cup), the "Golden Bombardino" (top scorer), and the "Duilio Felici Trophy" (fairest coach). The "Golden Boy" award will also be presented to the best San Marino Under-23 footballer. The new feature this season is the "Best Save" trophy, which will complement the traditional "Best Goal" award: the thirty best goalkeeping interventions – each of them already a winner at the end of a matchday – have been selected to compete for the prize. Videos of the goals and saves are available on our website FSGC.sm in the dedicated section, and it will be the public who decide the winner via an online poll (also on the website). In addition to football, there will also be room for futsal, with the awards for "Futsal Best Player" (best player), "Futsal Talent" (best Under-23 player), "Golden Bench" (best futsal coach), and "Golden Bombardino" (top futsal scorer). Several prizes will also be handed out in the youth and Academy sector: "Top Woman" (best Women’s First Team player), "Top Girl" (best youth player), "San Marino Academy Golden Bench" (best youth sector coach). During the event there will also be recognition for the refereeing sector, with the "Golden Whistle" awards (for both football and futsal) and the "Golden Flag" for the best assistant referee. As usual, the Communication Award will also be presented to the best journalist and/or media operator, along with the Lifetime Achievement Award for a long-serving official at a San Marino club. All the shortlists with nominees for each award will be announced in the coming days. After the ceremony – as mentioned – the draws will take place for both the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301 and the Coppa Titano BKN301 bracket, again in the San Marino Stadium Press Room (first floor of the main building).
