Campionato: 1-1 in the early kick-off as Djadji cancels out Ceccaroli

Tre Penne just can’t seem to shake off their X Factor. Berardi’s side rack up a fifth consecutive draw and miss the chance to leapfrog Tre Fiori, who in the 87th minute find a way to cancel out Ceccaroli’s opener thanks to a trump card played from the bench, Geremi Djadji, sitting next to Girolomoni until four minutes before latching onto Bernardi’s assist and sealing a 1-1 draw in the Matchday 7 curtain-raiser. The first real scare comes from the Biancazzurri, with Scarponi unable, on 15 minutes, to get on the end of Palazzi’s cross on the edge of the six-yard box. A few minutes later Nigretti bursts down the flank after a neat passing move and pulls it back into the middle for Moscardi, who fires straight at Braschi. Tre Fiori try to respond with a 25-metre free-kick from Prandelli and, immediately afterwards, with a left-footed rocket from Tomassini on the rebound off the wall: the ball flies over Migani’s crossbar. Within a few minutes Prandelli heads wide from a Bernardi cross and Ceccaroli seeks a “Del Piero-style” goal with a right-footed effort from the edge of the box, but he cannot get enough curl on it. Another Prandelli header arrives at the start of the second half, this time from a corner: plenty of room for the striker, but the finish is too high. Just a few minutes later it takes a truly miraculous save from Migani to deny Censoni’s sudden turn and shot in the area: the ball seemed destined for the top corner, but the Biancazzurri captain’s flying stop keeps the score at 0-0. Tre Penne become dangerous again by cranking up the attacking pressure. Tomassini loses a horrible ball on the edge of the box and Ceccaroli immediately tries to take advantage, shaping with his right foot a looping effort that ends up wide after shaving the post. It is an episode that nonetheless helps Tre Penne grow into the game. A few minutes later Berardi’s men are back camped in the opposition half: Guidi swings a cross into the box for Amati, who does brilliantly to swivel on the slightly behind ball but is forced to concede defeat to a superb dive from Castagnoli, today deputising for the suspended Nardi. On another occasion, it is the width of the post that saves the Tre Fiori keeper from Dormi’s deflected left-footed strike from outside the area. Eventually Tre Penne manage to capitalise on this spell of sustained attacking pressure. The move for the opener develops down the left, where Nigretti spots and picks out Guidi’s run through the middle; from the byline, Guidi pulls it back to the far post, where Ceccaroli arrives with perfect timing: the no.11 only has to side-foot home to put his team in front. But Tre Fiori also have weapons out wide. Minute 87: Bernardi reaches the byline, skips past Nigretti and cuts the ball back into the area for Djadji, who had only come on a few minutes earlier. The 2006-born forward has time to set himself and rifle into the net from close range with a right-footed finish that seals a draw which, overall, suits his side far more (they preserve their one-point advantage in the table) than their opponents, who are forced to postpone yet again their appointment with a second league win.
