League: the last midweek round of the regular season is coming up
The BKN301 Campionato Sammarinese shows no sign of slowing down and, having wrapped up yesterday afternoon’s fixtures from Matchday 25, today it is already the eve of the fifth-from-last round of the regular season. It offers leaders Virtus, who have recently returned to the top, a serious test against Murata – who have climbed to fifth place, albeit level on points with Tre Fiori.
In terms of the title race, the key fixture of the upcoming matchday is precisely the one to be played on Wednesday evening in Domagnano. Angelini’s Bianconeri have won four of their last five matches and represent a real obstacle in Virtus’ march, while the Neroverdi must also manage their energy and disciplinary issues ahead of next weekend, when Bizzotto’s men will face Cosmos.

The Gialloverdi, already in action tomorrow in Montecchio, will meet Pennarossa without Berardi, Errico and Loiodice – all suspended. Dolci does get Barbieri and Montalti back, but will have to do without Pintore, sent off in the defeat to Cailungo. It will be overtime work for Fabrizio Morisco, first assistant in this match after his international experience in Andorra, shared with fellow assistant Lunardon and referees William Villa and Vandi (see photo alongside). In Acquaviva, just over 24 hours from now, it will also be the turn of Faetano and San Marino Academy. With a double-digit gap to eleventh place, victory is a must for both if they are to keep alive hopes of a remarkable comeback. The Gialloblù will be forced to do without Ndao, booked while on a caution, and Tonti – who was shown a straight red card.
Cailungo and Libertas, meanwhile, are set to face Tre Fiori and Tre Penne on Wednesday evening. The two clubs from the Castello of Borgo Maggiore start as underdogs, even though Domagnano – only yesterday afternoon – showed how a display of great solidity can overturn expectations. Now seven points off the top, Tre Penne have no choice but to try to win every game from here to the end, and then hope for slip-ups by Virtus and La Fiorita. They will have to do so without Pieri, at least for the next match. Tre Fiori, for their part, are embroiled in the battle to defend fifth place, currently shared with Murata – their opponents after the break. Cailungo will be without Vittori and Gattei Colonna, while the Gialloblù will miss Cirrottola – man of the match in the clash with La Fiorita.
Wednesday will also see the Serravalle derby between Folgore and Juvenes-Dogana. Separated by five points in the table, both sides are involved in the group of teams chasing seventh place. It is worth recalling that this position grants exemption from the Preliminary Round of the play-offs, which will instead involve the next four teams in the standings. Also in the running for that target are Fiorentino, San Giovanni and Domagnano. The latter two will face each other in the late kick-off scheduled on the artificial pitch in Domagnano on Thursday evening. Both teams come into it after a month of excellent performances, which have allowed Rossi’s and Tognacci’s sides to firmly reorient their season towards a post-season objective.
The next assignment looks tougher for Fiorentino, who put an end to a four-match winless run by beating Libertas 4-3. What displeased Camillini was game management: consider that the Rossoblù – after overturning Libertas’ lead – were 4-1 up in the 90th+2 minute. Lapses in concentration that certainly cannot be afforded when facing La Fiorita on Wednesday in Acquaviva. Manfredini’s men yesterday relied on Vitaioli to avoid defeat against Tre Fiori at the death: a draw that still cannot fully satisfy the Gialloblù, now two points off the summit but with a more manageable run-in than their direct rivals.
Here is the Matchday 26 schedule for the BKN301 Campionato Sammarinese, which will be broadcast live in full with Italian commentary on TITANI.TV:
*matches at the "Ezio Conti" Stadium in Dogana will not be streamed live due to ongoing renovation work at the venue.
