Champions League, Tre Penne drawn against Icelandic side Breidablik
Tre Penne will face Icelandic champions Breidablik in the Preliminary Round of the UEFA Champions League. This was the outcome of this morning’s draw held in Nyon, which officially kicked off the new season of Europe’s elite club competition. The Preliminary Round – consisting of two semi-finals and a final – will be played entirely in Iceland (which also hosted last year’s mini-tournament), with the first two fixtures scheduled for Tuesday 27 June. In the other semi-final, Montenegrin champions Buduċnost Podgorica (seeded together with Iceland’s Breidablik) will take on Andorran side Atlètic Club d'Escaldes. The final will be played on Friday 30 June. The winners of the Preliminary Round advance to Champions League Q1, while the losing teams enter the draw for Europa Conference League Q2.
