Championship: first matchday of 2025 wraps up the first half of the season

Matchday 15 of the Campionato Sammarinese opens 2025 but also brings the first half of the season to a close. The competition has reached its midway point, with Virtus looking down on everyone from the top. Gigi Bizzotto’s Neroverdi will be in action on Sunday 12th at 17:00 in Montecchio against Pennarossa. It is the classic top-versus-bottom clash, given the current last place of Filippo Dolci’s Biancorossi. However, Acquaviva’s side will be without suspended regulars Golinucci, Battistini and Rinaldi. La Fiorita are instead in action in Saturday’s early kick-off, sitting just three points behind the leaders and aiming to temporarily draw level with their rivals. Ceci’s Gialloblu will take the field on Saturday at 15:00 in Dogana against Murata. It is a difficult spell for the Bianconeri, ninth in the table and with just one point from their last four outings. Grassi will also be unable to call upon Peters, who is suspended. Fiorentino will be looking to keep surprising, currently occupying third place. Tarini’s side will face Ricchiuti’s Faetano at 15:00 on Saturday, with the latter coming off a narrow win in their final match of 2024. There are three players suspended: Faetano’s Gialloblu will be without Acquarelli and Festa Gallo, while the Rossoblu will have to do without Boubacar Diop. Saturday’s packed schedule – four matches at 15:00 and one at 18:00 – continues with the duel between Folgore and Domagnano (Fiorentino, 15:00). Lasagni’s side are in good shape, having collected seven points from their last three games to climb up to third alongside Cosmos. Domagnano trail further back (a 12-point gap between the two sides) but are still sitting in the post-season places (11th). Four men will miss out through suspension: Domagnano will be without Merendino, Mazzavillani and coach Rossi, while Folgore will have to cope without Miori. Also kicking off at 15:00 on the Montecchio artificial pitch are Cailungo and Libertas. It is a nightmare period for the Borgo Maggiore side, who have lost five on the spin and have not tasted victory since as far back as 6 October. Despite sitting lower in the table (second from bottom), things are going better for Sarti’s team thanks to two wins from their last three. The only player suspended for this fixture is Libertas’ Buzi. The last of Saturday’s early fixtures is the meeting between Juvenes-Dogana and Tre Penne (Montecchio, 18:00). Fabbri’s men are desperate for points as they look to climb back into post-season contention (currently six points away). Up against them will be an in-form Tre Penne (three wins in a row between league and cup and now eighth in the table) eager to latch on to the direct train to the play-offs. Speaking of the post-season, Sunday’s 15:00 clash in Domagnano between San Giovanni and Tre Fiori could already be seen as a taster of what we might witness after the regular season. Girolomoni’s and Tognacci’s sides are both doing well and are separated by just three points: the Gialloblu are sixth, with the Rossoneri right behind them. Tognacci’s team will also be aiming to “avenge” their Coppa Titano Round of 16 elimination at the hands of Tre Fiori. Tognacci will be unable to field the suspended De Nicolò, while Pesaresi will be missing for the Gialloblu. Also at 15:00 on Sunday, Cosmos and San Marino Academy will take to the pitch. At the “Federico Crescentini” in Fiorentino, Lepri’s side will be out to bounce back after their come-from-behind defeat to Fiorentino in the previous round. The Gialloverdi, currently fourth and eight points off the summit, can boast both the best attack in the league and top scorer Ben Kacem. Cecchetti’s Titani, with just one victory in their last five, remain second from bottom, with the post-season zone currently eight points away. The only suspension for this match is Federico Ciacci for the Academy. A reminder that all matches on Matchday 15 of the Campionato Sammarinese will, as always, be broadcast live streaming and on-demand on the Titani.TV platform. Here is the full schedule:
