Championship: playoff finals tomorrow

Tomorrow in Acquaviva and at the San Marino Stadium the playoff finals of the Campionato Sammarinese will take place. The third-place play-off between Tre Penne and Domagnano will kick off at 15:00 and will decide fourth and fifth place. The Giallorossi came close to a major upset against Virtus, succumbing only in the 86th minute to Piscitella’s goal, despite having played the entire second half a man down. A similar story for Tre Penne: Grandoni’s goal condemned the Biancoazzurri after the first-leg draw.

The Final will instead be played at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle at 17:00. Virtus and La Fiorita will battle for second place, even though both are already qualified for the next UEFA Europa Conference League. This is because La Fiorita find themselves simultaneously in the Playoff final and the Coppa Titano final. As they will face Tre Fiori in the latter competition – a side already qualified for the UEFA Champions League thanks to winning the Campionato Sammarinese – tomorrow’s match against Virtus is irrelevant in terms of qualification for UEFA club competitions.
