Championship: time for the semi-finals
Four teams remain in the hunt for a place in Europe. After the midweek Quarter-final ties, the first legs of the Championship play-off semi-finals kick off tomorrow in the Campionato Sammarinese. In the top half of the draw, Virtus and Domagnano go head-to-head, with kick-off at 15:00 in Acquaviva. Bizzotto’s Neroverdi start as favourites, above all because they can rely on their higher regular season finish (second only to champions Tre Fiori) compared to the Giallorossi. The Wolves, meanwhile, absolutely have to win at least one of the two legs if they want to reach the final. Amati’s side are the classic underdog and in the regular season they have already shown they can hurt the former reigning champions, thanks to Bonetti’s late strike in the 1-0 win on 29 November. Domagnano will be looking above all to the goals of their centre forward, the competition’s top scorer with 26 goals, who also netted twice last Wednesday in the decisive comeback against Folgore. Acquaviva’s team, for their part, could effectively wrap things up tomorrow should they manage to claim victory. For the Neroverdi, Passaniti will also return in goal, after serving his suspension on Wednesday in the second leg of the Quarter-final against Juvenes Dogana.
It is much harder, instead, to pick a favourite in the other semi-final – the one to be played in Dogana between La Fiorita and Tre Penne. Also scheduled for tomorrow but at 18:00 (live coverage on FIFA+), the clash between the Gialloblù and the Biancoazzurri has become a genuine clásico of recent seasons, between two sides who have starred by lifting trophies of every kind. As was the case in the Quarter-finals, the higher regular season finish can again prove decisive in the semi-finals if the aggregate score over the two legs is level. Tre Penne made full use of this advantage against Cosmos (0-0 in both legs), and the same could happen again in the semis. La Fiorita – who finished fourth in the league, just behind their rivals from Città – therefore need at least one win. The head-to-head record this season does not favour Stefano Ceci’s side – Ceci being a major former Tre Penne figure and recently confirmed by the Montegiardino club for next year – with a draw in the first phase and a defeat in the second. However, Biancoazzurri coach Bonini will have to do without the goals and quality of Peluso, sent off on Wednesday night against Cosmos and also suspended for the second leg of the semi-final.
Below is the schedule for the first-leg ties of the 2025-26 Campionato Sammarinese play-off semi-finals, with all matches broadcast live via streaming on Titani.tv:
