Clubs and National Team learn from NADO about the latest anti-doping regulations
Sensitive and constantly evolving, the regulatory framework linked to international provisions on anti-doping. With the support of NADO (the National Anti-Doping Organisation) and the expertise of its President, Dr Claudio Muccioli, the San Marino National Team and the clubs involved in European competitions have been able to deepen their understanding of the limits imposed by the latest rules concerning substances considered to be doping.
Last Thursday it was the turn of Tre Penne, who tomorrow will play the first leg of the Europa Conference League Q2 tie against Valmiera. Previously, Cosmos and La Fiorita had already taken part in an information session run by NADO, as had the San Marino National Team – the latter a few days before the June international fixtures against Kazakhstan and Finland, as part of the EURO 2024 Qualifiers.
With the lists of substances considered to be doping and the reporting protocols under constant review, these prevention and information meetings are crucial first and foremost for players, but also for coaches and technical staff, ensuring they are aware of the need to report in advance and without delay the use of any pharmaceutical product. The risk of unintentional doping, in fact, is a concrete risk that can be easily avoided through a system of preventive information, promoted by NADO itself.
