Coach Education: Chiarabini in Zagreb for a FIFA course

The first workshop on Coach Education, organised by FIFA, has now concluded. The course was held during the week, from 23 to 26 September, in Zagreb (Croatia) and brought together the heads of coach education from all European federations. Representing the FSGC was the Director of the Coach Education Department, Carlo Chiarabini, who, together with his counterparts, discussed the development and future of this crucial and sensitive area. Chiarabini also presented to his colleagues the innovations introduced by San Marino in terms of the range of courses and licences on offer. FIFA has launched a series of worldwide projects with the aim of creating a global sharing platform, promoting exchange and collaboration to the benefit of all. The dynamics of football, in constant and rapid evolution, require coach education systems to adapt. In the same way, those responsible for training coaches (Coach Educators) need to follow a continuous pathway of development and upskilling, in order to ensure the quality of the activities delivered within their respective contexts. FIFA experts underlined that this is only the beginning of a long journey, in which the world’s governing body of football intends to play a leading role and provide the greatest possible support to all affiliated federations.
