Coach education: FSGC launches first UEFA Futsal C course
The Coach Education Department of the San Marino Football Federation announces that it has launched a new course aimed at training coaches for the UEFA C Futsal Licence. On completion of the programme, participants will be able to use this qualification in youth futsal activities and also serve as assistant coach (second coach) with first teams in the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal. The licence is valid internationally and recognised by all UEFA member associations – it being understood that each of them is fully entitled to regulate, at national level and at its own discretion, the licensing system required to coach in the various categories. As this is also the first UEFA C Futsal course ever organised by the San Marino Football Federation, it must receive final approval from UEFA before the licences issued can be officially certified.
The course, which will start on 3 February and finish in early May 2026, is organised by the Technical Department and the Coach Education Department of the FSGC, in collaboration with the Associazione Sammarinese Allenatori di Calcio (ASAC).
Applications for admission (Annex A of the announcement) must be submitted to the Federal Secretariat from Tuesday 9 December 2025 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday 13 January 2026 – on plain paper and accompanied by a series of documents listed in the admission notice, published with Circular No. 8, 2025-26 of the Technical Department (available in the “Documents” section of the website fsgc.sm). In order to encourage the entry of female coaches into technical roles, the FSGC has resolved to reduce by 50% the registration fee for women applying for the 2025-26 UEFA C Course (€250.00 for women, €500.00 for men).
A specially appointed committee will award individual scores on the basis of the documents submitted and will draw up a ranking list, from which the first sixteen (16) will be admitted to the course – plus two (2) additional places reserved for women candidates on the list.
Classes will be held from 3 February 2026 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (18:00–22:30) and on Saturday mornings (8:30–12:30), with the option of scheduling some sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The supporting documentation attached to the admission notice and forming an integral part of it includes: a) Annex A (application for admission to the course); b) self-certification; c) clothing size form; d) criteria for the allocation of points.
Further details are available in the full text of the announcement, available in the “Documents” section of the website fsgc.sm.
