Coach education: new UEFA C Grassroots course launched at the FSGC

The Coach Education Department of the San Marino Football Federation announces that it has launched a new course aimed at training coaches for the UEFA C Grassroots Licence. On completion of the programme, candidates will be able to use this qualification in youth football activities and in Grassroots football in general. The licence is valid internationally and is recognised by all football associations affiliated to UEFA – it being understood that each of them has full authority to regulate, at national level and at its own discretion, the system of licences required to coach in the various categories.

The course, which will start on 4 December 2025 and finish at the end of March 2026, is organised by the Technical Department and the Coach Education Department of the FSGC – in collaboration with the San Marino Football Coaches Association (ASAC).

Applications for enrolment (Annex A of the notice) must be submitted to the Federal Secretariat from Monday 3 November until Thursday 20 November 2025 – written on plain paper and accompanied by a set of documents listed in the call for applications, published by Technical Department Circular No. 5, 2025-26 (click here to view). In order to encourage the entry of female coaches into technical roles, the FSGC has decided to reduce by 50% the enrolment fee for women applying to the UEFA C Course 2025-26 (€325.00 for women, €650.00 for men).

A specially appointed Committee will assign individual scores on the basis of the documents submitted and will draw up a ranking list, from which the first eighteen (18) candidates will be admitted to the course – plus two (2) additional places reserved for women candidates on the list.

Lessons will be held from 4 December 2025 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (18:00-22:30) and on Saturday mornings (8:30-12:30), with the option of organising some sessions on Thursdays and Fridays.

The documentation attached to the call for applications, forming an integral part of it, includes: a) Annex A (course application form); b) self-certification; c) size for official kit; d) criteria for score allocation.

Further details are available in the full text of the call for applications.
