Conference League: Virtus to play in Q3 in August

The draws for the Q3 of the UEFA Conference League took place today in Nyon. After last week’s eliminations of Tre Fiori and La Fiorita, the only San Marino side left in the competition is Virtus. The San Marino champions, following their two Champions League matches, now enter at the Third Qualifying Round of the most recent of UEFA’s three club competitions. The Nyon draw has determined the path for the Neroverdi from Acquaviva, who will face the winners of the Q2 tie between Montenegro’s Budućnost Podgorica – already faced by Folgore in 2014 – and Moldova’s Milsami Orhei (first leg on Wednesday 23, second leg on Thursday 31 July).

Virtus’ first leg – scheduled for Thursday 7 August – will be played away, while the return fixture is set for Thursday 14 August at the San Marino Stadium.
