BKN301 Coppa Titano, second legs of the Quarter-finals tomorrow

While today and tomorrow we will find out the World Cup finalists in Qatar, there will also be decisive matches on the Titan in the race for the BKN301 Coppa Titano. Tomorrow evening the second legs of the Quarter-finals of the oldest football trophy in San Marino will be played, with many ties still on a knife edge. On paper, the most straightforward encounter should be the one in Acquaviva (kick-off at 20:45) between Juvenes-Dogana and Tre Penne. Two weeks ago in Dogana, Amati’s side delivered an almost perfect performance and – thanks to the 3-1 win signed by Colonna, Benedetti and Pasquinelli – have the semi-finals firmly in their sights. However, Tre Penne are a quality side and Ceci’s team have plenty of attacking firepower in Badalassi and company with which to respond. The City side will need at least two goals to take the tie into extra time. Remember that if the aggregate score after both legs is completely level, extra time and, if necessary, a penalty shoot-out will be required to determine the semi-finalists. Holders Tre Fiori resume from the narrow advantage earned in the first leg against Virtus thanks to a goal from Michael Traini. The Gialloblù had a rest in the last league round and therefore come into the Montecchio clash (20:45) fresher. Luigi Bizzotto’s Neroverdi, on the other hand, are coming off two draws, both played on the pitch next to the Casa del Calcio, but just one goal from Buonocunto and his team-mates would be enough to level the tie and put qualification back in the balance. Everything is still open in the tie between La Fiorita and Libertas. In the first leg, Costa cancelled out Bartolini’s goal late on, and tomorrow evening in Fiorentino (20:45) there promises to be a real battle between two of the most decorated clubs in San Marino football. Over the last ten years, the Gialloblù have failed to reach the last four on only three occasions and have lifted the Cup five times (losing one final as well); the Granata, meanwhile, have not reached the semi-finals since the 2018-19 season. In the league, La Fiorita remain top thanks to ten wins from ten; Libertas, however, come into this one off the back of a good victory – Sperindio’s first – against Juvenes-Dogana. A finely balanced contest is also expected in Dogana between Folgore and Murata (20:45). Here too the starting point is a 1-1 draw, courtesy of goals from Gjorretaj and Serafini. Lepri’s side held Virtus to a draw in the last round and are on a two-match unbeaten run. It is a different story for Bobo Sarti’s Bianconeri, who come into the game on the back of seven consecutive defeats.   Here is the schedule for the second legs of the BKN301 Coppa Titano Quarter-finals:
