Coppa Titano: Tre Fiori and La Fiorita meet in tomorrow’s final
It is the eve of the Coppa Titano final, the showdown that will bring the 2025-26 season of San Marino football to a close. Tre Fiori and La Fiorita will face off, and as usual they held their pre-match press conference this afternoon at the San Marino Stadium.
After last year’s defeat in the final, Tre Fiori coach Danilo Girolomoni is keen to make amends: “We haven’t stopped since August; these three weeks have allowed us to rest, both physically and mentally. As in every final there are no favourites, the details will make the difference. We will play our football,” said the Gialloblù coach, “and we will play with no fear. We represent Tre Fiori, the most decorated club in San Marino, and we will put our heart and soul into bringing this trophy home.”
Stefano Ceci, La Fiorita’s head coach, was also present at the press conference in the Stadium’s media room: “Keeping up the rhythm of competitive matches has been important, we are training well and we have faith in ourselves. La Fiorita are used to playing big games, but we also know we are up against a team that fully deserved to win the league. It will be a great contest.”
There was also room for the players, with Tre Fiori’s marksman Matteo Prandelli brimming with confidence ahead of tomorrow’s clash: “After lifting my first trophy I am already ready for the second. We hope to build on the good things we did in the league and finish the season in the best possible way. I’m expecting a balanced encounter, just as it was in our meetings with them this year.”
Alongside the Tre Fiori captain, his counterpart at La Fiorita, Marco Gasperoni, also shared his thoughts on tomorrow’s game. The Gialloblù skipper has already lifted three cups with La Fiorita and wants to bring his career to a fitting close.
“Tomorrow will be my last match as a player. I’ve been in San Marino for many years,” Gasperoni said, “and I’ve managed to enjoy many great moments. Winning another trophy in this shirt would be a wonderful way to complete the circle.”
“Playing in finals is always special; there is no real favourite in tomorrow’s match.”
Both coaches are in their second year in charge of their respective sides and neither has yet won this trophy in their career. For Tre Fiori it would be a ninth triumph, and for La Fiorita an eighth – these are the two most successful clubs in San Marino. Kick-off is tomorrow at 20:00 at the San Marino Stadium, with live coverage on Titani.tv and San Marino RTV.
