Coppa Titano: first legs of the quarter-finals tomorrow

It is the eve of the 2025-26 Coppa Titano quarter-finals for the seven teams that came through the previous round, joining holders Virtus, who entered the competition at this stage and were therefore exempt from playing in the Round of 16.

The Neroverdi will face Libertas in a tie where Bizzotto’s side will rightly start as favourites. With eight wins and two draws from their first ten matches of the season, Virtus neither can nor want to hide: after all, the Acquaviva club currently holds every domestic trophy in San Marino, following last year’s treble. The Granata will be without Casotti, sent off in a thrilling Round of 16 clash with Cailungo that Buda’s men eventually won on penalties. Four other players will take the field one booking away from suspension, a situation that does not affect Virtus, who are making their season debut in the competition. There is one absentee among the Neroverdi as well, however: Piscaglia, who must serve a one-match ban carried over from the end of last season’s edition. The match, originally scheduled for Montecchio, is very likely to be moved to the “Federico Crescentini” stadium in Fiorentino if the ongoing work to clear the facilities of snow – underway for several hours – is completed within the expected timeframe.

An intriguing clash is on the schedule at the “Ezio Conti” stadium in Dogana, where Cosmos and Tre Fiori will meet. Having already faced each other on the opening day of the league season (decided by Prandelli on 84 minutes), they are set to cross swords again in the first of two ties that look very balanced – at least on paper. So far the Gialloblù have been the more convincing side, but Cosmos – after a slow start – seem to have rediscovered their spark, even if the draws with Murata and Libertas left Selva far from satisfied. Besides the coach, there are many former players on both sides: Gjurchinoski, Semprini and Islamaj on one team – to name just a few – and Prandelli, Sami and Mema on the other. Girolomoni will have to do without Moretti, suspended by the sports judge. In the Cosmos set-up, on the other hand, Robba is available again – he found the net in their last league outing.

In Acquaviva, Murata will have to deal with the obstacle represented by La Fiorita. The Bianconeri are bottom of the league table due to the nine-point deduction (-9) imposed on the club at the start of the season. A similar sanction hit the Montegiardino side (-5), who in absolute terms would otherwise be the third force in San Marino on the strength of what they have produced and collected so far. For this reason Ceci’s team would appear the favourites to progress; their counterpart on the Murata bench, Michele Camillini, will instead have to cope with the absence of Theo Kouyoumdjian, suspended after an accumulation of yellow cards.

All quarter-final matches will be broadcast live and free via streaming on Titani.tv, the San Marino FA’s digital platform. Also included in the digital schedule is Tre Penne v Juvenes-Dogana, which will be streamed simultaneously on FIFA+. Having met just over three weeks ago in the league, they are expected to serve up a tightly contested match – at least on paper. The Serravalle club have already shown they can play the role of dark horses in this competition, while Bonini’s men – fresh from his first win since taking over from Berardi – are looking for the consistency of results expected from a squad built to win.
