Coppa Titano: Nicola Sartini sends Juvenes Dogana soaring, Murata win not enough
Thanks to a first-half strike from Nicola Sartini, Juvenes-Dogana defeat Tre Penne and book their place in the semi-finals. The most finely balanced tie of the second legs of the 2025-26 Coppa Titano quarter-finals thus goes the way of the club from the Castello di Serravalle, after a tight and hard-fought contest right to the end.
At Dogana they kicked off again from the 1-1 of the first leg, and the first chance fell to the side from Città, with Peluso timing his run well onto a Berardi cross but failing to make the desired contact. Tre Penne make the running, Juvenes Dogana sit and wait. On 27 minutes the deadlock is broken with what proves to be the decisive goal: Gianmaria Borghini plays a ball in behind for Lisi, who races clear and, once he reaches the edge of the area, lays it off for Nicola Sartini who arrives around the penalty spot and makes no mistake. Tre Penne respond and before the break threaten through Badalassi, while moments later the clearest chance falls to Juvenes, with Gaiani rattling the crossbar.
After the restart, chances come thick and fast. Nicola Sartini and Colonna both squander great opportunities to kill the game, as does Fabbri for the Biancoazzurri. Time ticks away and within the space of a minute (76’) Aprea goes within centimetres of doubling the lead, then Berardi crashes a shot off the bar, levelling up – but only that – the woodwork count. The 4 minutes of added time are not enough for Tre Penne, who must relinquish their crown. Juvenes Dogana win and advance to the semi-finals.
Their opponents in the next round will be La Fiorita, who at Montecchio lose 2-1 to Murata but – protected by their 3-0 win in the first leg – still manage to reach the semi-finals. The first half ends with Camillini’s Bianconeri in front: Baldazzi collects on the flank and finds Piantkivskyy, who – despite the tight angle – unleashes a powerful left-footed strike that gives Di Giuli no chance. Murata have nothing to lose and keep fighting after the break too, and on 84 minutes they give the Gialloblù a real scare: De Biagi wins the ball high up and shoots accurately, Di Giuli is caught out and it’s 2-0. It is Affonso, though, coming off the bench, who bails La Fiorita out, finishing off a move in stoppage time to make it 2-1 once and for all.
In the top half of the draw there are no surprises. Virtus and Tre Fiori both win by clear margins again in this evening’s games and knock out Libertas and Cosmos respectively. The Neroverdi and the Gialloblù, who are also battling it out at the top of the league, will face each other in the cup semi-finals as well.
At Domagnano Virtus hit another three past Libertas and win 3-1. Buda’s side are unlucky, losing David Tomassini to injury almost immediately. Even so, Libertas battle hard and on several occasions come close to breaking the deadlock. It is Virtus, however, who go ahead early in the second half through Zenoni after a brilliant solo effort. Shortly afterwards Guddo – in goal for the Neroverdi today – keeps out a potential equaliser from Baiardi, and on the hour mark Benincasa doubles the lead after persisting in the move and finishing with a left-footed shot from the edge of the box. Five minutes later Bizzotto’s team add a third, this time through Capicchioni, who turns the ball in after Piscaglia had hit the post. It is Quarta, who pulls one back on 73 minutes after carrying the ball from almost halfway, that makes the defeat a little less heavy for Libertas. It ends 3-1 to Virtus in Domagnano.
Same scoreline in Acquaviva, this time in favour of Tre Fiori, who knock out Cosmos. The Gialloblù take an early lead through the Benedettini-Mema combination, then Girolomoni’s side double their advantage shortly before half-time with a fine move finished off by a thunderous right-footed strike from Ciccione after an assist from Brisigotti. Early in the second half Cosmos reduce the deficit through Righini, a goalkeeper by trade but deployed as an outfield player this evening due to Cosmos’ injury crisis, but on 69 minutes an unfortunate own goal by Islamaj – following a corner – restores Tre Fiori’s two-goal cushion. The scoreline remains unchanged until the final whistle.
