Coppa Titano: only wins in the first four Round of 16 ties

The 2026-27 Coppa Titano officially kicked off this evening with the first four first-leg ties in the Round of 16. Narrow victories for Tre Fiori, Tre Penne and Cosmos, while for Domagnano it was all more straightforward thanks to a 3-1 win – sealed almost at the death – over Faetano.

The most entertaining match was at the “Ezio Conti” between Tre Penne and Juvenes Dogana. It was frantic from the off in Dogana. The liveliest among Camillini’s men was former home favourite Dormi, who in the 9th minute tested Andreani’s reflexes. Four minutes in it was again Dormi taking centre stage, threading a superb ball through for Benedetti, but once more Andreani did well to race off his line. Tre Penne showed themselves on 31 minutes with a long-range effort from Ceccaroli that drew a sharp save from Davide Colonna. Just before half-time the deadlock was broken: a pinball on the edge of the area fell kindly for Giacomo Borghini, who read the move perfectly and finished with his right for 1-0 Juvenes Dogana. After the restart, Tre Penne changed attitude and levelled on 66 minutes: captain Loiodice worked the ball in the final third and then played a brilliant vertical pass for Casadio, whose shot took a deflection, making it even more lethal for Colonna. Bonini’s side kept pushing and twice went close again, but the decisive goal, which set the final score, arrived on 81 minutes with a thunderbolt from distance by Brian Ruiz. In stoppage time Dormi again went close to the archetypal goal against his former club, but luck was not on his side. The first round therefore goes to Tre Penne, 2-1 winners.

Fewer thrills in the Fiorentino derby between Monaco’s Rossoblù and Girolomoni’s Gialloblù. In the first half Prandelli went close to putting his side ahead (21’) but his header missed the target despite Benedettini’s uncertain outing. In the 38th minute, however, Tre Fiori managed to strike: a floated cross from the left by Cuzzilla picked out Federico Dolcini, who first brought it down with his right and then found the far corner with his left. There were few real scares in Fiorentino; one of the best moments came on 80 minutes when Benedettini denied the rival’s second with a superb save from Sami’s angled free-kick. In the end, Dolcini’s fine goal was enough for Tre Fiori to claim the derby against Fiorentino and start their campaign with a win.

Things started even better for Domagnano, who beat Faetano 3-1. Amati’s side laid down a marker right away. On 6 minutes Ambrosini’s visionary pass released Rigoni, who opened the scoring for the Giallorossi. The Wolves kept pressing and doubled their lead on 12 minutes: a whipped cross into the box from Fusco found Ambrosini, who got just enough of a touch to divert it in for 2-0. Domagnano were in the mood and it took a miraculous save from Panfili on a piledriver from Santi to prevent a third in the 36th minute. Faetano held on and, before the interval, managed to get back into it through Rivas, quick to turn home Renzi’s effort after Bracconi’s save. After the break Domagnano controlled their lead and went in search of a clincher. The ever-dangerous Ambrosini tried ten minutes from time, but the striker’s left-footer crashed off the crossbar. Almost at the death, however, the Giallorossi did find their third, as Marconi powered home a header from Nanni’s corner. Domagnano win 3-1, and the Quarter-finals now look that bit closer for Amati’s men.

Cosmos also came out on top, beating San Giovanni in Montecchio. The first half started brightly with Nicola Sartini thundering a shot off the bar after just six minutes, but it proved a false dawn. Things improved after the break as chances began to flow. The goal that settled it arrived on the hour mark: Zaghini battled to win the ball back on the byline and cut it back for David Tomassini, who controlled and rifled it into the top corner to put Cosmos ahead. San Giovanni refused to give in and Amati’s fierce strike from distance deserved better: it smacked off the bar. On 75 minutes Cosmos could have killed it off, were it not for Pizzolante’s brilliant double save from Nicola Sartini – once again close to scoring against his former club. Alessandro Semprini was equally decisive for his side, rescuing them when he somehow kept out Bianchi’s point-blank effort. In the end, Tomassini’s goal proved enough to send Paolo Rossi’s Cosmos into raptures.
