Coppa Titano: second legs of Quarter-finals tomorrow
Final act of 2024 for the Coppa Titano, which returns to the pitch tomorrow evening with the second legs of the Quarter-finals.
The most finely balanced tie after the first legs at the end of November is undoubtedly the clash between Folgore and Tre Penne (Fiorentino, 20:45). The tie resumes from the 1-0 scored by Luca Ceccaroli, which gives Nicola Berardi’s side a slight advantage. Folgore, however, would level the aggregate with a single goal and could then take the contest into extra time. There are two absences across the two squads: on the Tre Penne side, Luca Righini will be unavailable, suspended for three matches after his red card in the first leg, while Lasagni will have to do without Patrick Anzaghi. The Città side will also need to keep an eye on Amati and Guidi, who are one yellow card away from suspension with a view to the semi-finals.
On the same side of the draw, Tre Fiori are very close to progressing and will travel to Montecchio tomorrow (kick-off 20:45), defending the 4-0 win over San Giovanni from the first leg. Girolomoni’s Gialloblu are on a seven-match unbeaten run, while Tognacci’s Rossoneri will need something special to overturn the deficit. In addition, San Giovanni will be without suspended players Boldrini, Celli and Azael Garcia Rufer. Girolomoni, for his part, will be missing Pesaresi in defence.
Holders La Fiorita also have one foot in the semi-finals and will face Juvenes-Dogana tomorrow in Dogana (kick-off 20:45). They restart from the 2-0 advantage for the Gialloblu earned in the first leg. Ceci’s side come into the game with no suspensions or players at risk, while Juvenes-Dogana will be without defender Filippo Maza Rodriguez.
The path looks even smoother for Virtus, who after the 4-1 first-leg victory over Faetano have taken a firm grip on qualification (they would then face the winner of Fiorita vs Juvenes-Dogana). Bizzotto will, however, be without suspended duo Tortori and Sabato, while Benincasa and Gori are one booking away from a ban. Ricchiuti, on the other hand, will have everyone available and will need a flawless performance to reach the semi-finals.
A reminder that if the aggregate score is level after both legs, the ties will go to extra time and, if necessary, penalties.
