Facilities at the Acquaviva Stadium: statement from the San Marino Football Federation

Despite the firm intention of the San Marino Football Federation to avoid engaging in sterile controversy, given that such controversy has now been reported by national media, it has become necessary and appropriate to set the record straight regarding some of the statements made by President Della Balda in today’s post-match comments. The Acquaviva Stadium, including all of its facilities – sound system included – is made available to Victor San Marino free of charge for their use. It is far from accurate to claim that “a mixer which has always been provided was not made available”. The actual facts, which certain members of Victor San Marino’s management can confirm to their President, are that well before the start of the current season the club was informed that it would need to acquire its own mixer and microphone – and nothing else. Evidently, Victor San Marino has yet to do so, and for months has been using equipment owned by the FSGC without having the necessary authorisation. The San Marino Football Federation reiterates its full willingness to cooperate on this and other matters with the club chaired by Della Balda, as was the case last August when staff appointed by Victor San Marino and the FSGC Press Office carried out an inspection specifically to explain how to use the sound system at the Acquaviva Stadium.
