FIFA: President Infantino to return to the Titan on an official visit

It was 5 October 2017 when Gianni Infantino came to San Marino for the first time, as a guest of the FSGC in his role as the newly elected FIFA President. Five years on, the head of world football’s governing body is preparing to return to the Titan. Infantino’s second official visit is scheduled for 28 and 29 September. The FIFA President will arrive in the Republic on the evening of Wednesday 28, when he will join members of the Football Federation and the Federal Assembly for a meeting, followed by an informal gathering at the San Marino Stadium. On the following morning, Infantino, the FSGC leadership and the rest of the delegation will be received in audience at Palazzo Pubblico, in the presence of Their Excellencies the Captains Regent Oscar Mina and Paolo Rondelli. The FIFA President’s visit to the Republic of San Marino will conclude in the late morning. “We are extremely happy about President Infantino’s visit,” – comments FSGC President Marco Tura – “Despite an extremely busy schedule, he has managed to find the time to come and offer his greetings to us and to Their Excellencies the Captains Regent. This once again demonstrates the strong bond of friendship that exists between San Marino and the FIFA President. As FSGC we have always assured him of our support, ever since he was UEFA General Secretary, and we will continue to do so. It will be a real pleasure to welcome him back here on the Titan, five years on from his last, most welcome visit.”
