First training camp for the Experimental Women’s Under-16 National Team tomorrow

The first fascinating chapter in what we hope will be a long-lasting story, that of the newly formed San Marino Experimental Women’s Under-16 National Team, will be written tomorrow. The setting is the venue that for years has effectively been the cradle of technical projects for the women’s game in our country, namely the Faetano Stadium. From 3:00 p.m. onwards, the young Biancazzurre will step onto a pitch they know extremely well (San Marino Academy’s Under-15s play their home fixtures in the Italian Regional Championship right in Faetano), but this time with different goals and motivations. Someone who knows every single square metre of the ground is Giacomo Piva, the coach of the Giovanissime side that finished the 2022-23 season among the top eight teams in Italy, and now wearing a dual hat as Head Coach of the Experimental Women’s Under-16 National Team and coach of San Marino Academy’s Under-17s.
