FSGC also in Paris for the FIFA workshop

In the splendid setting of FIFA’s new offices in Paris, the FIFA update workshop was held for the third group of European associations not taking part in the World Cup in Qatar, comprising 14 different affiliated National Associations. Representing the FSGC were Deputy General Secretary Luca Albani and Head of International Projects Andrea Zoppis. The workshop covered various topics of great importance and relevance for today’s football landscape, and provided the opportunity to present for the first time the new FIFA Forward 3.0 programme, dedicated to supporting – financially and beyond – all member associations worldwide and due to come into force in January. During the day, several other subjects were discussed, including the development of women’s football, the growing focus on communication and streaming technologies such as FIFA+ and the increasingly important Child Safeguarding policies. Participants, representing the associations of Albania, Gibraltar, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey, as well as delegates from UEFA and of course FIFA, also had the opportunity to engage in individual and group discussions on the upcoming challenges to be faced on multiple fronts, and on the support that world football’s governing body plans to provide to all European associations.
