FSGC: duties in UEFA Committees for Grana and Angelini

Simone Grana, Vice-President of the FSGC, and Gian Luca Angelini, federal council member, travelled to Nyon for meetings of the UEFA Medical Committee and UEFA Futsal Committee, of which they are respectively members.

The work of the Medical Committee opened with a report on the medical and anti-doping units: in addition to a discussion on the relevant 2027 Regulations, there was also debate on the upcoming Medical Symposium and the Football Doctor Education Programme. The session also addressed topics related to research, from injury studies to updates provided by experts.

A packed agenda was also on the table for the Futsal Committee, ranging from a report on the recent European Championships hosted in Lithuania and Slovenia to an analysis of activities linked to the UEFA Futsal Champions League. Equally significant were the in-depth discussions on the Women’s Futsal World Cup and EURO, which preceded those on the U-19 Futsal EURO. There was also discussion of the 2026–28 international calendar, marketing, qualification for the 2028 World Cup and the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
