FSGC mourns Marino Righi, long-serving Libertas official
The FSGC extends its condolences on the passing of Marino Righi, a historic figure in San Marino football. A goalkeeper in his youth, Righi forged an unbreakable bond with Libertas, serving as a club official for many years and sharing with the maroon side both the highs and lows of its sporting journey, while remaining, always and in every circumstance, a key point of reference. Despite being weakened by illness, in the recent past he had returned to the stands at the Stadio di Montecchio to watch a match of his beloved team. In 2018, on the occasion of Libertas’ 90th anniversary, the Borgo Maggiore club honoured him by presenting him with a special plaque. He passed away at the age of 85. The entire FSGC shares in the grief of his family and of Libertas.
