FSGC mourns the passing of Pope Francis

The Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio wishes to express its deepest condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, who died this morning at the age of 88. An example of charity, faith and dignity in suffering, he will forever be remembered also for his love of sport and football, always regarded as a vehicle for social cohesion and for breaking down barriers. The entire football community of the Republic of San Marino shares in the grief at the passing of the Holy Father.
