Futsal: narrow win for Domagnano against a much-improved Murata

This is a completely different Murata from the one seen at the end of last year, making its 2023 debut having solved the goalkeeping shortage that had affected recent outings, and with a new head coach at the helm. Gabriele Cellarosi, himself a former San Marino National Team goalkeeper as well as a Murata player, made his debut on the Bianconeri bench last night, entrusting the gloves to Mirko Ottaviani – a goalkeeper with a spell at Folgore in his past. If the issue of goals conceded (34 in the previous four matches) appears to have been resolved, the next item on Cellarosi’s agenda is the attacking phase. Murata have in fact failed to score for four matches, including last night’s late fixture, which Domagnano claimed thanks to the only goal of the evening – scored by William Cavalli in the 21st minute. A valuable victory for the Wolves, who keep pace with the other contenders for the top positions. Having briefly slipped to seventh place, the Giallorossi have climbed back up to fourth – level with Virtus – moving back ahead of La Fiorita and Juvenes-Dogana. On a matchday when the two joint leaders remained out in front even after their head-to-head clash, the next six teams behind them all won, while the rest were beaten. In other words, nothing changes in terms of the balance of power and relative gaps in the table, with the standings simply showing a further widening of the gap between the left and right halves of the group.
