Futsal Championship: Juvenes-Dogana set for debut tomorrow

The second matchday of the futsal championship will also go ahead with no games postponed. As last Monday, four venues will host fixtures on the same evening, including Domagnano, one of this season’s new additions. Matchday 2 will mark the seasonal debut of Juvenes-Dogana, who after their rest round are preparing to face San Giovanni, coming off a heavy defeat to Murata and also without captain Davide Agostini, sent off against the Bianconeri. This clash will open the evening in Fiorentino, which will be completed by the meeting between Virtus and Cosmos, two sides with very different moods after the first 60 minutes of the season. The Neroverdi are fresh from a four-goal win – with a clean sheet – over Libertas and are chasing a second success, while the Gialloverdi, beaten in the derby with Folgore, are looking for an immediate reaction to avoid losing too much ground at the dawn of the season. Coach Muccioli will be without Guidi, sent off last Monday. Speaking of Folgore, the reigning champions will face Cailungo in the first of the two matches in Acquaviva. Here too we have two teams at opposite emotional poles: the Giallorossoneri can only aim to repeat their emphatic opening win against Cosmos, while the Rossoverdi, after the heavy defeat to Fiorentino, need a performance capable of banishing negative thoughts, despite the difficulty of a fixture that is objectively among the toughest the schedule could currently offer. On the same pitch, the clash between Domagnano and Tre Fiori will follow, with the Wolves immediately called to a maturity test after their convincing 3-0 victory over newly promoted Tre Penne, and the Gialloblù coming from a prestigious draw against La Fiorita and eager to get their first win on the board. It is precisely La Fiorita and Tre Penne who will face each other in the second of the two fixtures in Dogana. Ghiotti’s men will look for the win that slipped away – despite taking a temporary lead – in last Monday’s big match, while Galli’s side are targeting a high-level performance and a prestigious result against one of the leading title contenders. In the first game in Dogana, Fiorentino will aim to preserve their perfect record against Pennarossa who, after losing 4-3 to Faetano in their opener, will have to tackle this difficult test without coach Casadei and pivot Ciacci, both sent off on the first matchday. The fourth venue, as mentioned, will be Domagnano, the only one hosting a meeting between two teams coming off a win. Faetano and Murata both have their sights firmly set on reaching six points. Kick-off is at 21:15. Libertas have a rest round. Here is the schedule for the second matchday of the championship:
