Futsal, Championship: Murata start at full throttle, no draws in the early kick-offs

Murata’s new era begins with a comprehensive win over Virtus. Cellarosi’s boys, however, fall behind early in their season opener: Pazzaglia gives the Neroverdi a brief illusion, but they are pegged back and overtaken by goals from Alessandro Casadei and Moretti around the 15-minute mark. Before the change of ends, though, it is Virtus goalkeeper Umberto Lonfernini who finds the strike to level things up. The three goals after the break from Felici, Paolo Casadei and Moretti – the latter completing his personal brace – deliver a debut victory for the Città club. No false starts for last season’s leading contenders. Folgore claim a 2-0 win over San Giovanni, finding the net once in each half. It is captain Bernardi who breaks the deadlock, the same player who was man of the match in last week’s Super Cup win against Fiorentino. At the start of the second half, a Zanotti own goal seals the final scoreline. Michelotti’s Fiorentino need a half to get into gear, then pull away. The reigning champions go in front through Busignani on 11 minutes, only to be pegged back by Ercolani on the quarter hour. The stalemate holds for the entire first half. Once the deadlock is broken, though, the Rossoblù run riot against Tre Penne thanks to a Cevoli hat-trick, a brace from Ceccoli and a Gasperoni goal to make it 7-1 on the scoresheet. Domagnano and Pennarossa also win 2-0. For the Wolves, it is the versatile new signing Capone who opens the scoring after a goalless first half against San Giovanni. The second, just two minutes later, is scored by the younger of the Dolcini brothers – Filippo. Pennarossa, on the other hand, waste no time, breaking the deadlock after just two minutes. The Chiesanuova club overcome Faetano, helped by an early goal from Nicola Guidi. On 39 minutes, Marco Baldani seals the 2-0 win against a Faetano side that finish with four players after Mangano is sent off a minute from time. Cosmos and coach Muccioli, finally, open their season with a narrow victory. Everything happens in the first half against Cailungo: on 11 minutes Bacciocchi puts the Gialloverdi on the road to victory, with Giglietti’s finish proving decisive. Just two minutes later, Vitillo pulls one back for Venerucci’s Cailungo, who are unable to get back on terms. Almost at the death, Bacciocchi fails to convert a 10-metre penalty that would have made it three. This is the partial picture from Matchday 1 of the league campaign, which will conclude with tonight’s late fixture between Tre Fiori and La Fiorita:
