Futsal Championship: Virtus back on level terms in the race for third

The late fixture of Matchday 6 goes Virtus’ way. Luca Pollini’s side defeat Juvenes-Dogana 3-0 in one of the many direct clashes of this round and climb back onto the crowded third step of the Single Group podium, alongside Domagnano and Tre Fiori. It takes almost an entire half for the Neroverdi to break the deadlock in Dogana: Paolo Casadei makes it 1-0 from the penalty spot. The second half is just as hard-fought as the first; only in the closing stages do the goals arrive that allow Acquaviva to put the result beyond doubt. Sensoli scores first and then, in stoppage time, Righi adds the third. With this defeat, their second in a row, Juvenes-Dogana are forced to concede overtaking by La Fiorita and, for the time being, drop down to seventh place.
