Futsal: Domagnano back to winning ways, Tre Penne second while awaiting games in hand

Fabio Gasperoni’s Giallorossi put four past Pennarossa and put an end to their run of three consecutive defeats. At Dogana there is only one goal in the first half, scored by Santarini. After the break the three points head to Domagnano in the closing stages: on 54 minutes Hidri doubles the lead before making it a brace on the hour mark. In between comes Sensoli’s strike for a temporary 3-0. The Biancorossi, last season’s runners-up, reduce the final deficit thanks to a penalty won and converted by Gasperoni at the death. With this win Domagnano consolidate ninth place, keeping pace with the teams above them, while for Pennarossa a second defeat on the bounce means losing further ground on the target of fourth place – at least seven points away, eight if La Fiorita beat San Giovanni this evening. The same venue also hosts Tre Fiori-Juvenes Dogana, which produces the same number of goals – although shared out differently. The lightning start by the Gialloblù, 2-0 up thanks to a Podeschi brace, is completely cancelled out by the Serravalle club, who halve the deficit before the break through Gianni. In the second half Gatti restores parity, leaving it to Thomas Celli to complete the turnaround a quarter of an hour from time. A precious victory for Cellarosi’s side, now three points off Pennarossa in fifth place.

That league position could belong to Cosmos on Thursday evening, although in the meantime they have been overtaken by Folgore. The Falciano club win the arm-wrestle in Fiorentino, where they were up against Cailungo. After a goalless first half, a penalty from captain Ercolani breaks the deadlock on 33 minutes. Just over ten minutes later it is Casali who finds the net to wrap up the three points for the Giallorossoneri. The next match scheduled on the Fiorentino artificial pitch sees the return to action of Murata after their rest round. It is all plain sailing for the reigning champions, who sweep aside Fiorentino also thanks to a four-goal haul from former player Alessandro Morri. Also on the scoresheet are Contato, Ghiotti, Busignani and Dominella.

Indoors, meanwhile, it is indoor at the Multieventi for the clash between Tre Penne and Libertas, where for at least one half Penserini’s and Levani’s sides go toe-to-toe. Amati is immediately decisive on Gamba – a major protagonist of the match – while Fabbri, at the other end, is wasteful in front of Casadei. On the next surge forward, Tre Penne strike: Gamba and Gabrielli combine down the flank, setting up a precise side-foot finish from the latter for the opening goal on 10 minutes. The Granata response is swift and, just 200 seconds later, Gasperoni scores from distance from a corner routine. Further efforts from Fabbri and Cola fail to change the scoreline, while Gabrielli makes a mess of an open goal. Tre Penne’s new lead would in any case arrive half a minute later, with a speculative effort from Beinat that a telling dummy from Gabrielli helps turn into 2-1. Libertas do not lose heart and create three chances to level again, in particular the one that falls to Giorgetti – denied one-on-one by Casadei. Within a few minutes it goes from the prospect of an equaliser to Città’s third goal, right on the stroke of half-time: a delightful touch from Gamba, released in the area by Cola, as he lifts the ball over the onrushing Amati with a velvety lob. After the restart Giorgini goes close to making it 3-2, once again finding an alert Casadei in his way. Tre Penne, by contrast, are more clinical in front of goal: from a splendid move by Beinat comes Gabrielli’s brace, the latter doing well to follow the action and arrive unmarked at the back post. Penserini’s side make it a stunning four midway through the second half, when Cola brings down with exceptional skill a diagonal ball from Beinat to take Fabbri out of the game and lay on the 5-1 goal for Ercolani, who finishes with a sliding volley. The Granata later find their second goal of the night, punishing a lazy cross-field pass from Beinat: Paesini nips in ahead of Cola and fires past Casadei with the toe-poke. Any hopes of a miraculous comeback for Levani’s men are dashed two minutes later: Beinat bursts down the right and, on his driven ball across goal, Fabbri’s deflection puts Amati in all sorts of trouble. Gabrielli pounces on the loose ball, squeezing it into the net through the only gap available to seal the 6-2 final score, having signed off on half of Tre Penne’s goals. With this, their tenth win in thirteen games, the Biancoazzurri climb to second place, with La Fiorita poised to draw level and Virtus two points back with a game in hand.
