Futsal: Matchday 15 to be played tomorrow

A new date with the San Marino Futsal Championship is set for tomorrow evening, with the rearranged fixtures from Matchday 15. All teams will be in action on Thursday night, starting with league leaders Murata, who are still unbeaten at the top. Spada’s Bianconeri will take to the court in Domagnano at 20:15 against Juvenes Dogana, who are enjoying an excellent run of form. Cellarosi’s side are on a five-game unbeaten streak and sit comfortably in seventh place. The later match in Domagnano (21:45) will pit San Giovanni against Libertas. On paper it looks like a straightforward round for the Granata, who are chasing points to secure 12th place, the last position that grants access to the post-season. San Giovanni, on the other hand, remain rooted to the foot of the table and are effectively out of the playoff race. In Fiorentino, Domagnano and Faetano will get things underway at 20:15. In the standings the Giallorossi are ten points clear of the Gialloblù, but they are close in terms of position (9th for Gasperoni’s side, 11th for Selva’s). What’s more, a balanced contest is expected given their similar recent form. Fiorentino and Tre Fiori will contest the second game in Fiorentino. The Gialloblù and Rossoblù are both in the lower reaches of the table and separated by just two points. Tre Fiori are ahead of their castello rivals and only a win would keep Bugli’s side’s playoff hopes alive. Also kicking off at 20:15 in Dogana are Cailungo and La Fiorita. The Gialloblù are in good shape (three wins on the spin) and, with Tre Penne resting, they want to pull away from the Biancoazzurri and move into third place on their own. Cailungo, meanwhile, remain firmly in the playoff zone (sitting tenth) and are eager to bounce back after last Monday’s narrow defeat. The following match in Dogana at 21:45 promises to be intriguing. It’s yet another Serravalle derby, with Folgore taking on Cosmos. Zonzini’s side are in a rich vein of form (four wins from their last five and currently sixth), but Franchino’s Gialloverdi – eighth and on a two-game unbeaten run – are looking to close the gap on their rivals. The only indoor fixture will be played in Acquaviva at 22:00 between Virtus and Pennarossa, arguably the standout tie of this rearranged Matchday 15. Michelotti’s Neroverdi start as favourites, given their second-place standing, but Novembrini’s Biancorossi need points to hold onto fifth place and edge closer to fourth – which guarantees direct access to the playoffs.
