Futsal: here comes Tre Penne, emphatic win on the court in Acquaviva

The first win of the season arrives for Federico Muccioli’s side, as they take the first late fixture of Matchday 5 in the Campionato Sammarinese di Futsal, handing Libertas their first league defeat. At the Acquaviva sports hall the crowd is treated to a match full of goals and twists, with the Granata twice able to go two goals clear. Moretti breaks the deadlock, before Elia Michelotti doubles the lead after just a few minutes. For Tre Penne, third last season, it looks like the start of another nightmare, with a win that just won’t come. The Biancazzurri, however, deserve credit for not giving up and staying in the game, as Gamba finds the goal that reopens the contest before the break. In the second half, after Libertas restore a two-goal cushion through Paesini, Tre Penne cling to their captain: his brace brings the score back to 3-3. It is the penalty converted by Zandoli in the 39th minute, awarded for a foul by Riccardo Michelotti on Cola, that shifts the momentum of the match. Tre Penne thus complete the comeback and take control of the contest, with Cola – who also nets a brace – scoring the goals that extend their lead. In the closing stages, Libertas throw everything forward and opt for a flying goalkeeper. Nigro comes on, the goalkeeper unused up to that point, tasked with orchestrating play in numerical superiority. But the decision proves costly: shortly after he enters the court, the Granata misplace a square pass aimed at him. Gamba intercepts and rolls the ball into the empty net, sealing the final 3-6 and delivering victory to Tre Penne.

The futsal league rolls on, with the next fixture set for this evening, again at 22:00 at the Multieventi, as Domagnano face San Giovanni.
