Futsal: Fiorentino answer Folgore again in rescheduled fixtures

The rescheduled fixtures from Matchday 27 of the league were once again centred on the usual scrap at the top. Fiorentino and Folgore had already gone head‑to‑head from a distance between Monday and Wednesday, in their Matchday 28 commitments, and they did exactly the same on Thursday and last night. As before, Folgore enjoyed for a few hours the feeling of looking down on everyone from the summit. Fiorentino, as usual, promptly took back what they see as theirs. The first of the two matches to be replayed because of the hailstorm that had covered the Fiorentino pitch last week pitted Zonzini’s Giallorossoneri against Tre Fiori. It was played in Fiorentino, where a brace from Pasqualini in the opening 9 minutes set the tone for an evening that would end very well for Falciano – but not before a comeback attempt from Tre Fiori, who were hauled back into the contest in the 7th minute of the second half by a strike from Lorenzo Burioni. It took Folgore around ten minutes to clip their rivals’ wings: another brace, this time from Chezzi, cleared the way for Zonzini’s men, who then further protected their lead through a goal from Morri. The final word belonged to Tre Fiori, but Daniel Casadei’s goal for 5-2 amounted to nothing more than a consolation. Tre Fiori remain third and, much against their will, must continue to share that position with Murata on 57 points. The other encounter – one of two that exactly mirrored the pairings in the Titano Futsal Cup semi‑finals – set Fiorentino against La Fiorita. The latter, just like Tre Fiori, needed to shake off an awkward presence, namely Juvenes-Dogana, who had recently drawn level with Montegiardino on 52 points. Fiorentino, coming off a hard‑fought but valuable win over Domagnano, had even greater motivation. The latest reclaiming of top spot by the Michelotti boys came thanks to goals from Zafferani and Casadei, intriguingly the same two players who had opened and closed the scoring in the match against Domagnano. The Rossoblù and national team centre makes it 1-0 on 5 minutes, but Giacomo Bernardi’s reply is not long in coming. The renewed parity is broken at the start of the second half by Paolo Casadei, for a 2-1 scoreline that remains unchanged right up to the final whistle and that even "survives" a penalty awarded to La Fiorita on 60 minutes: Franciosi steps up, Protti saves.
