Futsal: Fiorentino pull clear, precious wins for Domagnano and Juvenes-Dogana

With victory number 13 in as many matches, Fiorentino extend their lead in the table and attempt a breakaway at the top after last night’s fixtures in Matchday 14 of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal. The Rossoblu hit double figures against Faetano and tighten their grip on first place in the group: with closest challengers Folgore idle this round, the gap to second place now stands at +8. At Dogana it is all straightforward for the reigning champions, who score five goals per half. On the scoresheet in the rout are Danilo Busignani (four goals for the league’s top scorer, now on 29), Andrea Gasperoni (brace), Alan Bacciocchi (twice), Lorenzo Cevoli and Francesco Stacchini. It means the perfect celebration – on his birthday – for Rossoblu coach Matteo Michelotti. Behind Folgore – still in second place – sit Tre Fiori, who are held to a 2-2 draw by Murata. For the Gialloblu, Lorenzo Burioni shines as he nets both the opener and the second. Shortly after going 2-0 up, though, Fabio Belloni takes centre stage: he first pulls one back, then completes his brace to make it 2-2 (three goals in two games for the former La Fiorita man). While waiting for tomorrow night’s late fixture between La Fiorita and Virtus at the Multieventi, in the upper half of the table there are important wins for Domagnano and Juvenes-Dogana, who close the gap on the teams ahead of them in the group. Just one point behind Murata are the Giallorossi, who win in Fiorentino with a comprehensive 5-0 over Tre Penne. After a goalless first half, the game opens up after the break for Fabio Gasperoni’s Lupi: a brace from Alessio Faetanini and a hat-trick from Lorenzo Bollini secure a third win in the last four outings. The same scoreline for Juvenes-Dogana, who move up to seventh on 22 points, two behind Domagnano. Levani’s side surge into an early two-goal lead through William Cavalli and Simone Chezzi; after the interval, Francesco Gatti (brace) and Alessandro Zonzini add to the tally for a win that Juvenes-Dogana had been missing since 12 December. Curiously, the match between Libertas and Cailungo also finishes 5-0. It is Penserini’s Granata who celebrate their third win in the last four, while the Rossoverdi remain rooted to the bottom of the table. The deadlock is broken by a Sabatino own goal on 23 minutes, before Davide Rossi doubles the lead. In the second half, Francesco Rossi (twice) and Nicholas Cola also find the net. In between, Sabatino is sent off for Cailungo on 38 minutes, further complicating their evening. Thanks to this victory, Libertas rise to tenth place, comfortably in the play-off zone. Far more balanced is the clash between San Giovanni and Cosmos, which produces the second draw of the evening. Midway through the first half there is a quick exchange of blows between Lorenzo Bacciocchi and Michele Giacobbi; then, late in the half, Muccioli’s Gialloverdi overtake with goals from Davide Zafferani and again Bacciocchi. After the restart, however, Jacopo Berardi and Manuel Macina complete the comeback to make it 3-3 at full time. Here is the updated picture from Matchday 14 of the futsal championship:
