Futsal: Fiorentino targets top spot on their own

With La Fiorita obliged to sit out this round, Fiorentino have a real chance to move clear at the top of the table. To do so, the reigning Titano champions will need a positive result against Virtus in the only indoor fixture of Matchday 11. The clash between Fiorentino and Acquaviva will be played on the Acquaviva court at 21:45, with the hosts coming into the game on the back of a win and a draw. Dropping a few places down the table, the battle between Tre Fiori and Folgore has become particularly intriguing after the latest round of results, all the more so because these two sides go head-to-head in a direct showdown next Monday. At the moment the Gialloblù and the Giallorossoneri are level on points. Tre Fiori will be aiming to return to winning ways in the first Dogana fixture, against Tre Penne, who are buoyed by the victory they picked up a week ago. However, Alex Bugli will be without goalkeeper Andreani, sent off in the last league match. Also in Dogana, but in the later time slot, it will be Folgore’s turn to try to claim a third consecutive win. Their opponents, Pennarossa, are desperate to halt a run of three straight defeats suffered by the Chiesanuova side. Casadei’s men were last beaten by Cosmos, who significantly closed the gap on them in the standings. Muccioli’s team will seek consistency in their encounter with Domagnano, who were forced to a halt in the last round (by Folgore) and will therefore be eager to bounce back immediately. Kick-off in Domagnano is at 20:15. Level on points with the Wolves are Murata, who also need to erase their most recent defeat and now face Cailungo, one of the two bottom sides in the single group. On this occasion the match will be played in Fiorentino. Afterwards, again in Fiorentino, it will be the turn of the other bottom side, San Giovanni, to chase a win that has eluded them for three rounds. Standing in Corbelli’s way – who will be without the suspended Macina – will be Libertas, also determined to get back to winning ways. The remaining Matchday 11 fixture will see Juvenes-Dogana take on Faetano. Levani’s side are part of the cluster on 15 points which, in addition to Domagnano and Murata, also includes Tre Penne. The Biancorossoazzurri are fresh from a prestigious draw against Tre Fiori. Faetano, meanwhile, have not added to their points tally for three games. This match will also be played in Domagnano, with kick-off at 21:45. Here is the full schedule – with no postponements – for Matchday 11 of the league:
