Futsal: Fiorita and Juvenes-Dogana step on the gas, derby goes to San Giovanni

Domagnano fall to defeat, Virtus sit this one out. In these conditions, the wins over Pennarossa and Tre Penne allow La Fiorita and Juvenes-Dogana to overhaul the Giallorossi and the Neroverdi and move into fourth and fifth place respectively. In fact, La Fiorita also draw level on points with third-placed Tre Fiori, although the latter are yet to make their “move”: Bugli’s Gialloblù are in action this evening in the late fixture against Faetano. Returning to Monday’s matches, La Fiorita make it four wins on the spin with a clear-cut 3-0 over Pennarossa, whose own run of three consecutive victories comes to a halt. Giuccioli opens the scoring very early; then, in the first 6 minutes of the second half, a Poggiali own goal and a strike from Belloni wrap up the win for Ghiotti’s side. They are immediately followed in the table by Juvenes-Dogana, who beat Tre Penne by an even wider margin. Borasco is the star of the night: he opens and closes the scoring, and is also on target for the temporary 3-1. For Tre Penne, the only goal comes from Capelli, halving what had been a two-goal deficit after Borasco’s opener for 1-0 and Muccioli’s strike for 2-0. After Borasco’s 3-1, Muraro stretches the lead further, which grows to 5-1 in the closing stages thanks to the third goal of the night from the Biancorossoazzurro No.10, the undisputed man of the match. After three defeats on the bounce, San Giovanni are back picking up points as they claim the derby against Libertas. The first half ends with the narrowest of leads for the Rossoneri, thanks to Comuniello’s goal just past the quarter-hour. Midway through the second half, the same Comuniello makes it 2-1 after Tonini had briefly drawn the Granata level. In the closing minutes, Mularoni carves out a small cushion for San Giovanni, who then have a scare when Libertas pull back again through Tonini’s second of the evening. At that point, though, there is very little time left and the Granata fail to find the spark needed to get back on level terms, despite having a 10-metre free-kick that Francesco Rossi cannot convert. As a result, they are forced to record a second straight defeat and also see their cousins draw level with them in the table, as San Giovanni temporarily climb out of the three “danger” positions in the standings. Still stuck in those troubled waters are Cailungo and Murata, who end their six-pointer with a lively 3-3 draw. Shortly before half-time, Casadei puts Murata ahead, but Gamba quickly restores parity. The Bianconeri retake the lead 10 minutes into the second half through Conti, and once again the Rossoverdi hit back, this time with Sabatino. The balance is maintained up to the 60th minute: there, Della Valle signs Murata’s third advantage under Cellarosi, which again proves not to be decisive. Cailungo find the strength to level yet again in stoppage time: in the 62nd minute Gamba nets the goal that allows Bollini’s men to add to their tally for only the second time this season and, above all, to avoid losing more ground on the rest of the pack and slipping prematurely into an overly critical situation. For Murata, the draw ends a long barren run and enables the Bianconeri to draw level with Cosmos. At the opposite end of the table, Folgore and Fiorentino immediately rediscover the winning feeling. Both league leaders were in action in Acquaviva. Fiorentino were the first to take to the court, comfortably seeing off Cosmos with a resounding 6-0, built almost entirely in the first half. In that spell, Busignani manages to put his name to three of the five Rossoblù goals: the versatile player for Michelotti’s side and for the national team scores the opener as well as the 3-0 and 4-0. Between those, the first of Ercolani’s two goals of the evening, before he adds another at the end of the half to make it 5-0. The final goal comes at the death, signed by Moretti. In the meantime, Busignani has the chance to make it four goals personally, but fails to convert the 10-metre awarded to him. The next match, between Folgore and Domagnano, produces exactly double the number of goals. The reigning champions take control after 10 minutes thanks to an unfortunate deflection off Filippo Dolcini. Pasqualini doubles the Giallorossoneri’s lead, but Domagnano pull one back before the change of ends courtesy of another own goal – a truly bizarre one involving De Angelis, through no real fault of his own. The 2-1 scoreline remains unchanged until the 37th minute, when Folgore begin to pull away thanks to a free-kick from Giardi and quick-fire goals by Bernardi and Chezzi. The Wolves react, and through Manuel Bollini and Davide Dolcini they threaten a comeback that, however, never fully materialises. Folgore surge clear again with goals from Pellegrini and Bernardi, plus an own goal by Marcucci forced by the Giallorossoneri captain himself. Domagnano show one last burst of pride through Filippo Dolcini, but it is not enough for the Wolves to avoid a defeat that ends a positive streak of two draws and two wins.
