Futsal: Folgore back with double figures, first win for Faetano

Folgore make a spectacular return to the court, overwhelming Cosmos with a resounding 10-2. It takes barely two minutes for Alessandro Casadei to open the scoring in Acquaviva: the former Murata man strikes again late in the half, after Yuri Rossi had turned in the second for the Giallorossoneri. Cosmos briefly react on 24 minutes through Bologna, whose close-range touch makes it 3-1. That is not the half-time score, though, because in stoppage time of the first period Massimiliano Bernardi decides he also wants his name on the scoresheet. It will not be the last time for Spada’s no. 10, who finds the net again after the restart, as does Rossi. In the meantime Danilo Busignani also lights up, helping himself to a personal hat-trick between the 32nd and 57th minutes, which also allows him to pull away from San Giovanni’s Casali in the scoring charts. Two more Folgore players, both with the surname Stefanelli, contribute to the evening’s score: Alex with the side from Falciano’s seventh of the night, and Simone, unfortunately for him, with Cosmos’ second goal of the game. In the later time slot, Fiorentino also win their match in emphatic style. Virtus are the side swept away by Michelotti’s team, who go in front after 2 minutes through Pasqualini and lead by four at the break thanks to further goals from Maiani and Gasperoni, plus a second from Pasqualini. It does not end there, because after the restart the Rossoblù stretch the scoreline even more with strikes from Moretti, Carlini and Toccaceli. The victory allows Fiorentino to open up a gap over Domagnano, who pick up a point in their clash with La Fiorita, the evening’s big match. Everything happens in the second half: the Wolves go ahead through Belloni after 3 minutes, the Gialloblù reply on 51 minutes through Pellegrini. The draw costs the Montegiardino side top spot in Group B, at least for the moment. The sole leaders now are Tre Fiori, who deal fairly comfortably with San Giovanni. Bugli’s men run out 5-1 winners, with Boschi opening the scoring on 11 minutes, followed on the scoresheet by Zafferani before the break and, in the second half, Cevoli, Zafferani again and Daniel Casadei. For San Giovanni, whose deficit to the play-off places grows wider, the only consolation is a late goal of honour from Mularoni. In Fiorentino, Pennarossa fail to seize the opportunity to reclaim the lead over Virtus. Juvenes-Dogana take the points, coming from behind to win 3-1 and even getting a goal from their goalkeeper and captain, Elia Cecchetti, after earlier strikes from Muccioli and Santi Ugolini. For “Penna”, the temporary advantage had been signed by Rinaldi. Also in Fiorentino, Faetano claim their first victory of the tournament at the expense of Cailungo, in the meeting between the bottom clubs of the two groups. The first half ends 1-1, with Burgagni replying late on to the Gialloblù opener from Massimo Moroni. The latter is also responsible for the second, converted from the penalty spot, before his brother Michele lands what proves to be the decisive blow. “Decisive” only to a point, because Graziano Giovagnoli manages to set up a tense finale in the dying minutes, although Cailungo cannot find any further inspiration. At the final whistle, it is 3-2 to Faetano. Here is the full programme from Matchday 12 of the 2021-22 Campionato Sammarinese di futsal:
