Futsal: Folgore hit three and climb to 7th place

The match that closes the 16th round of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal goes the way of Folgore, who defeat Cailungo 3-1 and move up to seventh place in the table. All the goals at the Multieventi arrive in the first half. It takes only a few minutes for the deadlock to be broken: Bacciocchi threads a pass through for Mularoni, who drives forward and shoots, Giulianelli parries but on the rebound Ercolani controls and finishes into an empty net. Cailungo, however, react immediately: Burgagni wins the ball back in midfield and drives forward, then with the outside of his foot finds Elia Sarti, who levels at 1-1 with a diagonal effort. Folgore are having none of it and on 22 minutes regain the lead: Casali finds a great channel for Bacciocchi, who beats the advancing Giulianelli. Shortly before the break comes Falciano’s side’s third, sending them into half-time with a two-goal cushion: excellent interplay between Mularoni and Ercolani, with the latter from a good position opting to square it unselfishly to the nearby team-mate Taddei, who cannot miss to make it three. There are no further goals after the restart, largely thanks to Giulianelli, who keeps the Rossoverdi in it on more than one occasion. Folgore will not mind, as they see out the 3-1 scoreline to the end and record their first victory of 2025. Another setback for Cailungo, who remain 13th in the standings.
